Memorandum with the National Council

What it means

The memorandum links the work of the Model Parliament of Slovakia with the National Council of the Slovak Republic, above all in the field of youth engagement. The shared goal is to show young people what parliament does and how it works, not just from textbooks but inside the building itself.

Under the memorandum, MPS is the official youth parliament of the National Council and its partner for student simulations of parliament. Thanks to this, hundreds of high-school students every year take their seats in the MPs' benches, speak from the rostrum and experience the legislative process first-hand.

For us, the memorandum is also a commitment: to run conferences that are well-informed, fair to every viewpoint, and that show young people that democratic institutions belong to them too.
